Curl for Cancer

Support me

In the 16 years since my non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma diagnosis, I've experienced firsthand the realities of cancer. When I lost all my hair during chemotherapy in 2017, my wife and I quickly realized that we both prefer me with facial hair. Since then, it’s been a part of who I am. This season, I’m taking on a new challenge to support those facing the same journey.

As the CEO of The Curling Group, owners of the Grand Slam of Curling, I’m honored to partner with the Canadian Cancer Society to raise funds throughout the curling season. During the KIOTI National in November, I took on the challenge of running 5.4 km (5,400 meters) from Daffodil Place to the top of Signal Hill—a symbolic signal to cancer and a reminder of the strength we share. I was joined by some of my curling friends, making the run even more special and meaningful.

But the journey doesn’t stop there. Cancer is tough—take it from me. That’s why we’re continuing to raise funds all season long to support vital initiatives like Daffodil Place in St. John’s and other important programs.

Hope begins with all of us. WE fight. WE survive. WE thrive. And, if you can, WE donate.

Thank you for your continued support—whether financial, emotional, or with a touch of humor. Let’s keep rocking all season long.
