Sisters for Life is a team of friends and family who have joined together since 2013 to raise funds and help people affected by cancer. To date, we have raised $228,803.
We are proud to be celebrating 10 years of creating hope, for those affected by cancer, with our Ladies Night Gala.
This year we are raising funds to support the Canadian Cancer Society and research led by Dr. Guy Sauvageau. Dr. Sauvageau is studying a novel non-toxic cancer therapy based on 2 compounds that kill cancer cells without affecting normal ones. This research is showing promise especially with low-survival cancers such as lung, pancreatic and liver cancer. All the funds raised for this research project will be matched dollar-for-dollar thereby doubling the impact to fund this incredible research of killing cancer cells by stopping them from using oxygen and sugar.
