This season, the Petes will be hosting the 15th annual Pink in the Rink campaign. For 14 seasons, the Peterborough community has come together to support the Petes and their Pink in the Rink cancer fundraiser. In 14 seasons, this initiative has raised over $950,000 for local and regional cancer initiatives. The annual Pink in the Rink game has become a staple of the Peterborough Petes season and a game that many mark on their calendars as soon as the schedule is released.

This season, the Pink in the Rink funds will support the Wheels of Hope transportation program at the Canadian Cancer Society. This program connects people to cancer treatments with volunteer drivers, supplementary Uber rides, flights and travel cost reimbursements. Much like the roots of a tree, this program firmly grounds itself in the values of empathy and care. It links those in need with a network of volunteers who extend their hearts and vehicles to those embarking on the toughest journey of their lives. For those who need to travel on their own, it’s the assurance that some of their travel costs will be alleviated, and that they have a safe, comfortable and reliable ride to and from treatment.

This season, Petes players and coaches will act as ambassadors and raise funds for the campaign. The goal is to raise $50,000 and surpass the $1,000,000 mark.

Thank you for supporting the 15th annual Pink in the Rink Campaign!

Together we can make a difference.
